The last week of school was Sea Week for Richard Johnson Elementary!
Due to the weather, the school opted to have a few indoor days, full of fun learning activities at different stations throughout the school! Some of the stations included a giant map of Alaska, measuring halibut heads, viewing different kinds of crabs, making barnacles out of paper mâché, origami, and more!
Yesterday, our RJES students were able to get out and enjoy the break in the weather at the beach! We also had a special visit from the U.S. Coast Guard from Ketchikan who gave our students a tour of their boat.
Our Sea Week looked a little different this year, but our students and staff made the best of the bad weather and had a wonderful time!
