students stand in front of a hen house, one holding a bucket of eggs

This week, Mrs. Hudson's Kindergarten class visited the Hudson's Hen House!

They recently completed their Farm unit in Wit & Wisdom (the reading curriculum used by the Richard Johnson Elementary School), and the weather finally was nice enough for the students to walk down to the Hudson home.

According to Mrs. Hudson:

"Students got to feed them, go into the coop and help collect eggs from the nest box! We will be dying Easter eggs this afternoon.  This was a great wrap up to our  farm unit and learning about the life cycle of chickens!"

It looks like a great time was had by all!
