Last week in Culture Class, Mr. Gamaas taught Ms. Yliniemi's/Ms. Garza's 5th grade class how to make Bentwood Boxes! Students pulled wood from being steamed and used all their strength (with the help of Mr. Gamaas!) to bend the boxes into shape. Afterward, they were clamped with wood to hold them in place, and the bottom was glued on the next day.
