students on top of fire truck with fireworks

For the first time in Miss Chiefs history, our team has taken home the 2A State Championship Title!

For their homecoming, the community came out to the ferry terminal while singing and drumming, while fireworks were lit off. A parade then began all the way back to and through town with 50+ vehicles, ending at the high school where another amazing fireworks show was waiting! What an incredible victory celebration for our Miss Chiefs- we are immensely proud of our athletes!

To our community, the amount of love and support for our teams was felt on the entirety of Annette Island. From the fireworks to the firetrucks and police cars, to the signs, car decorations, confetti, and the 50+ vehicles in the parade, THANK YOU for celebrating this historic achievement with us!

Thank you to Joe Henry for helping take photos!
