Flyer featuring Christina Garza as one of the guest speakers at We Rise Together, a group of Alaskan educators who meet monthly.

Congratulations to Ms. Christina Garza (4th grade teacher at RJ Elementary) for her feature in the monthly virtual meet up "We Rise Together!"  This meeting of rural Alaskan educators is hosted by AKRise Rural Teacher Network and is a space for teachers to learn, grow and share ideas.

Ms. Garza presented "Making MAP Data Work in The Classroom" to over thirty people. She discussed the different data forms and how each is useful for different areas. Ms. Garza walked the group through the process of using specific charts when  organizing and planning small groups.  They finished with a Q&A, which was a great way for them to identify struggles other educators may have had with MAP, and for a few they were able to walk through the issues and how to fix them.

They have already asked Ms. Garza to be a speaker again!  AISD is lucky to have such talented and knowledgeable educators like Ms. Garza on our team.  Thank you Ms. Garza!
