On Saturday May 7th, Metlakatla High School students celebrated an incredible prom! Students dressed to the nines and danced to music (courtesy of DJ David Nelson) in the gym, which was completely transformed into Las Vegas! Actual pieces of the Las Vegas skyline were built, along with multiple backdrops for photos, balloons, palm trees, a faux tent, and thousands of lights turned the gym into a glitzy Vegas venue.
This prom could not have been put on without the incredible help of the juniors and junior parents. On the nights leading up to prom, they could be seen working on the massive amount of decorations (did you see the Eiffel Tower?!) to make this prom unforgettable. THANK YOU to your dedication to your peers and your students, and for everyone who contributed, designed, built, setup, and tore down prom. We could not have done it without you!
