We are very fortunate to have three incredible Metlakatla Artists design a series of THREE original shirts with proceeds going directly to our Xsoo Club to support their first trip!  This first design was created by Gyibaawm Laxha (David R. Boxley).  Collect all three shirts and help send our students and community members to Juneau!

What is the Xsoo (Canoe) Club?

Xsoo Club is a group that brings together the community with students at AISD by having a family member travel with a student. We are also training AISD staff to be club leaders as one part of the  effort to integrate Ts’msyen culture into their classrooms. This will be the very first time canoes from Metlakatla will be traveling to Juneau for Celebration and the group that are traveling from the southernmost community of southeast Alaska. We are asking for your support to help us get there, because when we pull together as our ancestors did, anything is possible. Wayi Wah!

📸 School & Community Picture Retakes will be held THIS Sunday (Jan 18th) and Monday (Jan 19th)! 📸

Due to our bad weather last week, Inter-State Studio was able to reschedule photo retakes for this Sunday & Monday! We do NOT have school Monday, but you are able to bring your student to the RJES gym during either session to get a school photo retaken:

Sunday, January 18th
4:00 - 6:00 pm @ RJES Gym
Community + School Photo Retakes

Monday, January 19th
8:30 am - 11:30 am @ RJES Gym

Here is the information from Inter-State Studio:

Parents/guardians are now in a few different scenarios, depending on if they purchased and if their child was absent or if they were unhappy with the original picture. Read below to see how we handle each situation:

Parents/guardians whose child was absent:

-Parents/guardians should bring their child to ready to be photographed.
-Parents/guardians who have previously placed an order do not need to place a new order.
-Parents/guardians who have not ordered can place an order using the Retake Event Order Code, 0416QCF at https://inter-state.com/Order. This Order Code is different from the original Event Order Code.

Parents who are unhappy with the original picture:

-Parents/guardians who placed an order should send the Picture Package, including the envelope, to school on Retake Day. Please ensure the package is given to the photographer so they have the information they need to replace the original picture with the retake. Our photographers need the Original Picture Packages to produce the Retake Picture Package.

-Customers who only ordered Digital Download Products should still have a Picture Package envelope with a Photo Statement to return.

-Parents/guardians who have not ordered can place an order using the Retake Event Order Code, 0416QCF at https://inter-state.com/Order. This Order Code is different from the original Event Order Code.
