Here is what some of our students said about their experience watching the scene and debriefing after the scene:
How did you feel when you heard we were going to do a mock crash scene?
-Curious on what was gonna happen, also a bit worried on who was going to die or not.
-I was interested and scared
-I didn't really feel anything, just thought it would be something simple
-I was kind of excited because I wanted to see how our school does a scene like this
-I felt like we needed this to be done.
What emotions did you notice feeling while watching the scene?
-Sadness & Anger
-I felt a bit uneasy, because like the whole thing felt quite real, noticing how much emotion they put into their acting.
-I noticed that people were quiet and paying attention really well because it could have happened to their family or friends.
-I felt sad because it felt really real.
-I felt sad because that could actually happen.
-I felt sad some anger and emotions I didn't know I had
Did this have any impact on future decisions you will make?
-Yes, it makes me never wanna try substances even if I am an adult
-Yes, I will not let peer pressure get to me.
-I never want to be in a position of hurting someone or being hurt because of drugs or alcohol.
-Yes it did, now I will never drink or smoke because I don't want that to ever happen to me.
-Yes, my future decisions will be changed
-Yes, I don't want to put myself or anybody else in that situation
-No, because I would never do this in the first place.
Did you find this activity important for our high school to participate in?
-Yes, I found it very important. As it shows the consequences of drunk or high driving
-Yes, it was a big learning lesson for all of us.
-Yes, because it could help some people realize how bad it could be.
- I feel like this activity was really important, because not many people do not know how serious this is.
- Yes, it shows what can really happen when following the wrong crowd
-Yes, because high schoolers are able to drive and they should know what could actually happen in situations like that.
-Yes, because a lot of people don't understand how dangerous drinking and driving is.

-Payments can also be made in person at the District Office (cash or check).
-Fee waivers or payment plans may be considered on a case-by-case basis for student fees for families with financial hardship upon submission of a waiver application and supporting documentation. Waiver applications are available in the CLMS, MHS, and District offices.
