On Friday, Richard Johnson Elementary held attendance awards for students whose attendance is 95% and above! We had 52 students, 41% of our total students, who received swag tags! 18 of these students had PERFECT attendance and received our special Ayaawk Tag for Gyilks ama niisgn (take care of yourself). Luk'wil aam dzapsm (great job everyone)!

• The lane that runs between Labor & Education and Headstart will be ONE WAY as the only entrance into the parking lot.
• We are going to institute a stricter "airport-style" approach to help streamline pick-ups by the curb.

RJES Families: -Please bring your student(s) to the HS Gym at 5:45 p.m. that evening, so that they can find their seats on the floor by their class and teacher. -Attire for students is nice school clothes, and shoes that will be easy to move and dance in. -The concert will be about half an hour long, and all students will demonstrate their growth in singing, musical movement/dancing, and playing instruments. April in the Sm’algyax language is Ha'lila̱x sixs'waanx- it means the time to gather herring eggs! Yesterday, our first grade class was able to share a yummy snack. Thanks to MIC for sharing laxsm xs’waanx (herring eggs on branches) with the community, and thank you to Ms. Chelsee Cook for the eggs on Legi (hairy seaweed).
