A friendly reminder that the Pre-K (smaller) playground at Richard Johnson Elementary was designed and intended for students ages 5 and under. We want to make sure the equipment remains in good condition, and older children using the playground can cause damage to it.
Please help remind your older students to only play on the larger playground during non-school hours. Thank you!

Recently, our MHS students in Ian Hudson's science class received presentations on various careers!
They heard from Ken Bornchert and Dale Sebastian from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, as well as Dawn Pringle from our local forestry department. They learned about forestry, what foresters do, and other career paths in the natural resources world. They also learned about careers in the maritime industry from Tomi Marsh, who is a commercial fishing boat captain, and a marine pilot who drives cruise ships. They also heard from Cassidy Patton who is a ferry boat captain for the Alaska Marine Highway.
