The School Climate and Connectedness Survey is open NOW through March 24th! The results of this anonymous survey will help continue our efforts toward a safe, supportive, and caring place for all students.
The survey is open to one parent/guardian per student, per school. If you have students in different schools, you are welcome to take the survey more than once.
Once you have completed the survey, you can send a screenshot of the "Thank You for taking our survey!" page at the end of the survey with your name and phone number to ashellabarger@aisdk12.org to be entered into a raffle for a $100 AC Gift Certificate!

On Wednesday, the RJES Space Club met with Claire Mallon, an aerospace engineer who works on satellites! 🛰
After some uncertainty, we were able to establish the internet connection and make it happen, and we're so glad we did! Claire told the students all about how satellites are built and how many different people with many different jobs work together to build, launch, and monitor them.
The students were then able to ask Claire questions about both satellites and space. Thank you to Claire for taking the time to meet with our students- we can't wait to do this again!

Today, Mrs. Henry's 3rd Grade class met with School Counselor Mr. Joe to learn about what makes a good teammate! They practiced climbing an "ice wall" while connected to one another, while an ice monster moved around them. Students had to solve problems, communicate, and use teamwork skills to ascend the wall. If a peer "fell," they had to hold on tight and work together to bring them back up. Afterward, they talked about what their team did well and how they used their teamwork skills!
