In order to provide the best support for our students, Metlakatla High School will begin the school day at 9:05 a.m. (starting with second period) on both Monday, March 9th, AND Tuesday, March 10th, to give staff time to meet before students arrive.
Please note: both the elementary and middle school will operate on their regular schedule on both days.

Annette Island School District would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Juneau-Douglas High School and the Juneau community for their hospitality during the Region V Basketball Tournament!
We have received reports that some restaurants were unable to accommodate Metlakatla teams during the tournament. Based on the information available, these situations appear to have been related to capacity limitations rather than any form of discrimination. Large-scale events such as this bring a significant number of teams, families, and supporters to the community, which can understandably create challenges for local establishments in accommodating large groups.
We appreciate the community’s efforts in hosting so many visiting teams and thank everyone who contributed to making this tournament a success!

Today, we're celebrating National Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day, which is officially on March 6th, but since we'll be on Spring Break, we're celebrating early!
