We will be featuring pieces created by both students and staff of our Native Arts, Creative Woods, and Welding Classes. Some of the pieces will be for sale as a fundraising effort for our CTE Programs.
We will also have performances by our MHS Band and MHS Choir. We hope to see you there!

This Friday 4/28 & Saturday 4/29, MHS will be hosting a self-defense class taught by Jordan Tabb, a Jiu-Jitsu Instructor from Ketchikan, for high school girls and women in the Metlakatla community.
This event is meant to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
There are two opportunities to take the class:
Friday 4/28 5:00-6:30 pm
Saturday 4/29 10:00-11:30 am

Recently, our NYO (Native Youth Olympics) traveled to Juneau for Traditional Games!
Our team (consisting of both middle and high school students) had 20+ hours of gym time, singing, dancing, blanket toss, competing, and breaking personal records, all accomplished on very little sleep the entire trip!
We had two students place this year:
Mikayla placed 5th for Archery
Josiah place 4th for the Inuit Stick Pull
